Beauty Mate!!

So... If you're new to my blog I am an Australian Mummy and wife with
a passion for fashion and looking good whist carrying on my daily tasks!

The last few months have been a whirlwind! I started my own business
spray tanning and more recently make up artistry.

I did my make up training 9 years ago (where does the time go?) but in
recent events which you'll hear more about I now expanded to make up
and holdog make up parties.

I do sell Nutrimetics but I don't restrict my self to those products
as a make up artist.

This week my clients have been wild for my Wasp Eyelashes! Everyone
can't believe how natural they are!

I have also been introduced..by me wandering the Internet... The
wonderful world of You Tube beauty gurus and I really want to become
one!!

At the moment I am restricted to just my iPhone so in the future when
we upgrade to a new computer (and actualy get a decent IP!!) I'll
start uploading vids!

My first You Tube beauty guru I saw was Blair - juicy07! Then I found
her sis Elle - allthatglitters21 then I found Sara - SWalkermakeup
then Lollipop26 I love all these girls and their blogs!
They continue to do great work!

I also have shopped at glitzy-glam.com and lush.com.au because of
these girls!! lol!

Anyway keep following as a new blog will be created once you tube
channel is mre active. My channel is jodiisglam on you tube!

Ice Cream Recipe!

A family favourite and flexibility with your flavour choice!

Ingredients

1 can of condensed milk
600ml of thickened cream
Three bars of Nestle Peppermint Crisp (mint chocolate) or chocolate/cookies of your choice

2 packets of Arnotts Malt O Milk biscuits

Tray and tin foil
Blender if possible

Method
Personally I use an electric blender on pulse

Firstly beat the cream until it folds on to itself.

Then add condensed milk blend quickly

Then break up your chocolate and add to mixture and blend quickly.

Once this is made lay one layer of biscuits in tray of choice and then smoother the base biscuits with ice cream mixture.
Then put a nother layer of biscuits on top above the base biscuits so when it is frozen it can be cut in to 'sandwiches'.

Place foil or cling wrap over the top of tray and pop into freezer.
Ideally over night but minimum 6 hours for best results!

Good luck!

New website coming!

The new website is almost here and it's very exciting! I have created a new URL for it and will keep this one running for my beauty school journal and home journal.

I had a great night last night at my neighbours bbq. I love my street we have only lived her 11 months but we are so close to our neighbours and they are a real inspiration for living life in your 70's.

It's great to have neighbours like ours when you live a long way from friends and family that don't drive or work all the time. If there was ever an emergency I can count on them.

Sorry it's just a short update as I have to continue with preps on my new blog!

Having a baby 40yrs+?

So the other day I was on kidspot.com.au and someone asked if 47 was too old to have a baby.

Personally I think yes partly because wouldn't you already have gone (or going) through menopause?!

But the generation gap will be massive especially these days with technology just moving so fast
How awkward would you feel in the school yard picking up your child from school when your 57 and most other mums are 30 years younger!!!

Forgot to mention that this lady had already had a baby when she was 27 so it's not as though she hadn't been there and done it!

The risk factors increase quite dramatically for having a baby over 30 let alone 40! And there is a reason why your body has 'child bearing years' (I believe if I recall, it's early 20's) so you can bounce back and have the energy later on down your childs life to be there for them!

Well that was my thoughts on that!
